I hope you're not set on joining Delta Gamma. Not that you shouldn't want them, but setting your heart on one chapter is setting yourself up for disappointment.
I'm not sure what you heard on juicy campus, or any of those sites, but realize that most of the people that post there are trying to say bad things (and boy, some comments are NASTY) about other chapters and the rest try to compensate for their own chapter by saying their chapter is perfect and the best. You really can't trust anything that is said there, and if you do, it's your loss.
Although USC is not in the SEC or Big XII, I have read that recs are important there.
