Yes.
Sometimes a PNM will get into a misuderstanding with a sorority member at a party (when people are drinking it's probably something dumb like "did you just give me a dirty look?"), and next thing you know, the sorority member has told all of her friends in other sororities about it, and they all have decided that they don't want this PNM in their sorority.
That's why it pays to watch what you do/say when you're out and kind of keep a low profile because when people are drinking, it's easy for them to take anything you do/say the wrong way and it could negatively affect recruitment.
