Participate in EARLY VOTING! It will save you time and hassel. If you are in a state like GA that doesnt require that you give a reason to vote absentee you should consider doing that.
I'm registering people here in Ohio. My county's B of E is typically sending out "new registration" confirmation material about 10 days to two weeks after their registration requests are received.

Since I'm hand-delivering all the new registrations that I take to the B of E office, there should not be any "process problems."

I, also would urge anybody with the option of early voting to do so. --- Then consider using Nov. 4 to help others (particularly, the elderly) get to the polls.

(in Ohio, early voting begins Oct. 1.)
