Dear GKB,
Having never been a 13-year-old girl, there is just some stuff Imma have to accept and roll with. So your dragging me into "Claire's," that hideously cramped, over-crowded, pre-teen accessories store in the mall while you and your sister went through the girly jewelry and deep pink fingernail polish, was ....tolerable...barely.
I had to draw the line, however, at the $7.95 lip gloss (even if it was "your money.") I know you weren't really feeling my macro-economics lesson about store overhead and excessive price mark-ups. But when I gave you the $1.39 Carmex from the grocery store, and showed you how much you saved, I think I saw you feeling the economics of the situation.
it's ok, it's what I do.
Love, Dad
P.S. I love you 24/7/365, but next time you feel the "shopping" thing, can you please hold it and go with your mother?
