FAST FORWARD

So I depledged 4 weeks after I went to the meeting. That 2 weeks i missed after recruitment REALLY screwed me over.

All the new members already formed their cliques of friends and i kind of really didnt have anyone. TOTALLY not their fault, it was mine. and that is what kills me. I didnt go to bid day, I didnt go to the first 2 weeks of anything, etc.

Turns out that the new member pledge class really united the house and DEFINITELY made them a strong house on camous. It just took that period to grow.

TIPS:

-If you do not get your first choice, go to your second and BE PROUD. The new member period is there for a reason. So rep your letters and hand out with your pledge class as much as you can. THEN make a decision of whether your happy AFTER your new member period.

-VERY IMPORTANT: I had friends in every houe. and whether they were a Nate, a Serena, a Marissa, a Chuck, or whatever, they all had 4 GREAT years of memories with so many girls. I had tons of friends, but my experience would have been so much more enhanced if I just stuck with a house. It is a priveledge to be in ANY house. So eff you if you decide to give that up because you are turning your back on a GREAT gift. I regret my decisions throughout recruitment ALOT. Don't be me, that was the point of the story. In 8 years, your future child wont care if you were a Serena or Chuck or Marrissa. However, they WILL see the pictures in the photo albums you have and your letters amoung smiling girls. IMAGE IS TEMPORARY, MEMORIES AND SISTERS ARE PERMANENT.
