As I stood in front of a 9 11 memorial today I was truly overcome with emotion wondering what would the victims say to us if they had a voice? Stop being nasty to one another? Win elections on your own merit? How do the soldiers feel when they see our leaders saying anything, true, semi-true, or untrue, just to get elected. I was disgusted by the media attacks on Obama during the primaries and I am now disgusted by the attacks on Sarah Palin.

I think it's admirable to feel like you do in the bolded part, but it's kind of funny when you think about who is doing the vetting.
Basically, I think most of us are at the point where it's like, oh, here's some partisan crap, let's wait in until the other partisan hacks mess around with it for a while and we'll see if anything sticks.
