If there were groups that invited you back and you declined their invitations or dropped out of recruitment, then it is difficult to have a lot of sympathy with your position. As a senior, your best chance of NPC membership was to continue to get to know and give a chance to the sororities that thought enough of you to invite you back. It sounds as if you wanted one or two particular groups, but the reality is those groups
didn't offer you a bid, while some other groups
did invite you back.
No one here can give you any estimate of your chances in informal recruitment. The only way you will know who is COBing is to check with the Greek Life office and tell them you are interested. They will pass your name on to any groups that are under total and participating in informal. However, I suspect that if any groups are in that situation, thay may be the very groups you rejected in formal recruitment. I know at least one sorority had the recruitment of a lifetime and will not be taking on any through informal.
I honestly don't mean this to sound unfeeling, sometimes
no sorority is better than any, but it sounds as if you did have some possibilities in formal recruitment if you wanted to pursue it.
