As for the alumna pendant. I have the open one. Others that I have talked with that had the disc weren't too thrilled with it. It does have the option of taking the badge, ((I assume, I haven't)).
Honestly, I still prefer the "over the heart", but this is definitely more practical and easier to find when in a rush.
