It's official. He accepted a plea bargain including the following: guilty of two counts of obstruction of justice and no contest to one count of felonious assault .
120 days jailtime
5 years probation (during which he cannot run for office)
Immediate letter of resignation with effective date no later than 9/18/08 (which sounds nuts to me, you let him keep running things for two more weeks?? How much damage can be done during those two weeks?)
1 million dollars restitution to the City of Detroit over the next 5 years including the surrender of his state pension
