Your Detroit mayor is guilty of one major infraction -- alienating himself enough from the powers that be that such a charge would actually stick.

I think you need to read and learn a little more about the situation. Detroit has tried to get a better reputation and as far as most Southeastern Michiganders say, it IS a lot better (Downtown area). All Kwame has done is made the city look even worse than it was.
He physically assaulted someone.... a LEGAL OFFICIAL. He committed perjury. And everyone is pretty sure he is hiding information about the murder of a stripper after a party at HIS mansion, which adds on to I don't know how many other stories about Kwame's connection to it.
He was asked to resign by multiple people, including the pastor from HIS OWN CHURCH. He never wanted to stand down, even when everyone knew he was lying. He continued to prance around town like a pimp and today, while our Governor was in court to get his ass out of office, he was shown driving with his little punkass son who was laughing and pretending to shoot hoops out of the passenger side window. And can I add that during his State of the City speach, his kids were laughing, looking like little mini Pimp Kwame's, and it looked like they didn't care, just like they're father.
Detroit and our court systems didn't put him through the ringer. He put himself through the ringer, embarrassed his family, embarrassed our city, and has put numerous city employees (police officers and others) through hell. So really, he's guilty of NUMEROUS infractions.
