thats a pretty cool I dea, I have seen something similar, my suggestion would be to ask other people on campus to help out for the fact you can pull in maybe more people to participate(school unity) cause then people have friends, and people always invite their friends to functions like those.
I also think some steps involved would be , 1. Where to have the evnt? 2. Who's in the showcase(like whether u deicide to open it up to the public) 3. How much tickets would be 4. The line up of the show . SO it's basically little things like that. Well I hope that helps a bit
