Right, we get that you want XYZ. The issue occurs if XYZ decides they don't want you.
That's why we tell people to get to know as many of the other sororities as possible.
We see girls (some upperclassman girls like you who rushed before) get their minds set on one sorority that ends up not inviting them back, and they end up disappointed. Recruitment is not a guaranteed process, and I see girls all the time who are so sure they're going to get a bid to "the one they want" and it doesn't always happen.
