About the only things the remakes of Scarface and The Fly had in common were some VERY basic plot points (i.e. scientist turns into fly) and the title. But we're talking about a crime movie and a horror movie - that can go comfortably into a genre. RHPS cannot go comfortably into a genre, thus it shouldn't be remade. It was a one-time sort of thing.
