I'm not sure how many of you know of Jay Mariotti, but he recently resigned from the
Chicago Sun-Times. He didn't have one of the best reputations in the sports journalism biz, but the reaction from his former paper is interesting, to say the least.
I think the Murray Chass split from the
New York Times was almost as rough (if you read Chass' blog), but this is the first time I remember a newspaper lashing out at one of its former columnists, especially so soon after his departure.
