Greek Unity (The future of the DEVINE NINE)
With the start of the NPHC, our organizations have started a Unity Movement. With this movement, I believe we as Black Bros and Sisters (FIRST) and respective organizations will have a bigger impact and be more powerful. I don't think the Sigmas are a threat to Alpha. I don't see the Sigmas (or any other orgs) as enemies of Alpha. Everyone strives to be the best and shine the brightest which stimulates competition and HEALTHY rivalries. But in my opinion (from an older, maturer, and graduate perspective) I am excited to see organizations working together and having a combined week with another frat is a bold step in the RIGHT direction. I cannot see any (ANY) negative in working with another org or having a joint party, program, community service project, week, etc.
In college, I lived in a town house with 4 bros and a G.B.I. (God Blessed Individual). The following semester he pleged Q. Since we had all been cool, it wasn't nuthin but a thang. We competed fiercely with the Qs but at the end of the day we were friends and it wasn't that serious. It was for fun.
I can see why most younger college bros would trip over a joint week, because they don't really see the big picture as clearly as older bros. I don't understand why older heads would trip...they are grown ass men in the work force and should have more serious things about the relationship between black people to trip about
