That's funny...

... Pretty Nasty Week! I mean the name kinda works!

But on the real, it's not the first time I've heard of other organizations joining together. I didn't attend a HBCU, therefore, I'm not sure how common of a practice it is at those schools, or any school for that fact. Greeks at my alma mater did it for various reasons. Yes, unity may be the surface reason, but other factors usually play into account. Such as financial. Hey Greek-lettered organizations are businesses and it sometimes is in an organizations best financial interest to do joint efforts.
At my school we never did do combined weeks, that is bit of a stretch! Even the Zetas and Sigmas had there own weeks! But examples of joint Greek events have been called: "Fire and Ice" with the DST and APhiA, "Sigma Love" with PBS and SGRho (yes the Zetas were

furious, actually this event was held after I grad and I laughed when I heard of it... please don't take that the wrong way anyone, just knew there would be some tension due to the ZPBS connection) and there was even talk of a possible "Diamonds and Pearls" event with KAPsi and AKA. There have been other collarobations that I can recall in which the names don't correspond w/ an organizations characterists (ie. Sankofa traditionally held with KAPsi and SGRho). Now that I think of it, most of the collaborations were frat/sorority or two sororities, don't recall any with two frats...

.... oh well........
But I do respect your frustation. I mean an organization's week really is THEIR time to shine ALONE! I would probably be shocked if I saw/heard of that at my undergrad chapter!

But great bonds and connections are formed through such ventures...

.... I say that speaking as a former VP of my campuses NPHC chapter!
So tell me, how success was "Blue Ice?"
