At my chapter we assign "Anchor Buddies" - a new member is randomly assigned an anchor buddy (active) at each meeting and then they're supposed to do something with them during the week - like grab lunch/dinner, coffee, go shopping, etc. It's a great way for the new members to get to know their new sisters on a one-to-one level.
