Reagan was divorced in 1948, when it was pretty scandalous to get divorced. In some churches, being divorced and remarrying is adultery to the first wife if she is not dead. I don't put him in with the infidelity club, but then, I don't put him in the group of good presidents either (and I actually voted for him once).
Back to the original topic though... sounds now like Elizabeth Edwards found out about the affair just before she found out about her cancer recurrence and chose to stay with him because of the cancer. It's not the decision I would have made, personally, but <shrug> it's her life to live how she chooses.
