Dear 20 Year Old Self,
You were bright, young and cute... but also very naive, self-doubting and painfully insecure. You let people define you and make you feel less than magnificent. You made decisions based on external influences instead of following your heart. You had big dreams and lofty ambitions.. but you let people convince you that you were not good enough to acheive them. How could you not know your potential... your purpose... your worth?
Nobody could have predicted the trials that you would face, the terrible pain and great loss you would endure and the sadness and sorrow that God would someday deliver you from.
Also, nobody could have predicted the joy you would someday feel.....the blessing you would become to those around you... both friends and strangers...the life's work you would undertake... and the gift of true love you would one day find.
20 year old self, you were wrong.. you will be magnificent...you will touch people's lives and will continue to do so... you will be a loyal friend and a loving wife and God has things in store for you that you can only imagine. Your dreams will come true.. your purpose will be fulfilled.. You WILL matter.
Sincerely,
30 year old self.
