My first "job" was at Sam's Club in college. I loved it, and worked with a great group of people. I quit after I had to work 39.8 hours on finals week, in a semester that I was taking 21 hours, along with everything else!
Then I started working as a computer lab manager, and loved it! :-) I did that until I graduated.
After graduation I've worked in telemarketing (lasted 2 days), and as a teacher. My background was NOT education in college, but I loved being a teacher, and for the most part I loved my students. I had 7,8, and 9 grade boys, and taught every subject. They were mostly rejects from public schools and private schools. I got paid PEANUTS ($300 a week gross) and dealt with them bringing knives and fights. LUCKILY there wasn't enough money to continue the Jr. High program, so I had to be laid off.
Finally I've worked the past 5 years as a tax preparer. Now I own my own tax prep business, although we may not be able to open in the upcoming year.

I've made more money in the 4 months of tax season, than I made teaching 10 months, and I love it. But this last year was NOT a good one.
