I love boot cut jeans, but I'm tall and I think they definitely look better on tall people. They elongate the leg and slim it I think. I like low-cut but not TOO low-cut. Below the navel is fine, let the belly ring breathe, but I hate these new Britney Spears pants that hit below the hip bone.....I don't care how skinny you are, if your waistline cuts straight across under your hipbone (which is the widest part,) you are going to look broad. Not a flattering thing.
Levi's has a couple of cuts out that I like....577s (which is slimmer through the top and wide through the leg) and 515 boot-cut which is lower waisted than most Levi's but not too low. They are not junior sizes, they are regular 4-6-8-10 etc and they fit better.
I do like Abercrombie pants and jeans though. I prefer pants that have patch pockets with flaps (like army pants) on the butt, they definitely make your butt look slimmer and perkier. I can't stand those pants with no pockets or anything.....may as well put a "Wide Load" sticker across your ass.
