Amen to that - be honest. Besides, being "sick" may or may not work - I've been legitimately sick, but couldn't go home due to a major unexpected problem with a project we were working on - so I ended up working a 12 hour day, in agony....burning tracks in the carpet to the bathroom....

Honesty is the best policy - if you don't get the job, and, someone finds out you interviewed, yet gave a bogus excuse - that could be detrimental to your current employment situation....
