I dont know how much clearer I can be about this. I am in no way, shape, or form saying branding is the best idea or for everyone. I am saying a Brother shouldnt be called an idiot, dumbass, retard, or other hurtful name just because he might choose to show his pride in the form of a Brand, or atleast not unless he does one of the many uninformed ways.
There are ways to do this in a manner as to reduce risk, and if someone is truly serious about this, then it should be well thought out and planned, as well as properly researched.

I wanted you to know that there are Omegas with botched brands, since you hadn't seen any. And continuing to use your limited observations of another organization's informal practice doesn't add as much weight as you think it does. That's not a medical opinion nor does it speak to the place of brands in
your fraternity.
If branding isn't the norm for your organization, it is normal for those of you who delve into this to be responded to in this way. There are organizations that sanction members for tattoos and brands. Yours doesn't, yet.
