Since you keep bringing up another fraternity to support your own desire to get a brand, I guess this thread doesn't have a lane like I thought it did:
I've seen Omegas and members of other fraternities (and a couple sorority members) with botched brands. Some used custom made branding irons and others used wire hangers.
I have also seen infected brands.
It happens. You probably haven't seen it because you are young and only exposed to a relatively small amount of Omegas and other fraternity members with brands.
If you do it, do it and stop throwing out these examples like it makes a difference. Defend it on its own merit because I wager that your fraternity brothers don't really give a damn about an Omega or their brands.
