We used to do recruitment threads and post the names of schools, chapters, etc. people didn't get their panties in a wad over it- it was all very honest. Now you have people posting on the internet as anonymously as possibly and yet crazies on GC will contact chapters at taht school when they figure out who is who or what school it is.
What ever happened to minding your own business?

I hear ya, although I'd guess that's the way message boards in general have gone. When I first started posting in 2001, I wasn't as careful about what I posted, and people did seem to be a lot more honest and open. Maybe it's because most of us were just starting out in college then, and have now gone on to adult lives, where we're more careful about our privacy.
I will say, disagree, though, that people didn't get their "panties in a wad." I got some negative reaction for a couple of posts I made when I first started from people in real life, and I had to delete/edit the posts.
