I think a lot of us are in the middle about the harvard experiment is because....IT'S WORKING....and I agree...I was shocked too and maybe that is why I am in the middle...because so far he seems to be getting results. Myself and my mom debated that point last night too....in reality eventually you DO get paid based on your learning ability...face it...a good education is the key to getting successful careers.

Maybe this program is teaching them early (too early perhaps?) that your education is the key to greater earning power....

One example my mom pointed out...look at college...good grades can earn you higher scholarships and grants to pay for school which can lead you to get even better jobs upon graduating....duh...did I not benefit from that?

So, yeah, maybe I am on the fence about this too because what happens when that incentive is no longer available and these kids still have 6 or 7 years left to finish school

Or maybe we are indeed becoming old fashioned?

For those that watched what did you think about:

- the biracial guy whose both parents are educators?

- the biracial couple (was it me or did she imply if they had known early on that kids would be an issue they may not have married?)

- the contrast in the church where one family had 5 kids going to college vs the single motehr rasing 5 kids? One thing I think that they missed is that they never really stated where the kids were in life...and if you have 2 males in the home....you have to wonder where they are without a father....

- The "Babymomma" marriage program?

- The 24 year old girl with HIV who is an author and advocate?
