WHAT? TRY AGAIN! Seriously, I think a lot of these inaccuracies get started from some basis in truth...i.e. if someone were asked to be an honorary member or placed on a roll of consideration...and some member took it and ran with it...u ever played the gossip game as a kid?

IMO, the only members in our respective orgs who are worthy of being labeled as "famous" would be the founders of each org. These pioneering men and women laid the foundation for each of our orgs. As college students in a time when being BLACK was not easy, these men and women struggled for what we have today -- not just our orgs, but a lot of the rights and privileges that we take for granted. Good Point there and I agree with you. Everyone else is living the dream that our Founder's intended, representing our beloved orgs to their fullest extent, blazing the path our Founders left behind...but then there are some who dont...

But I'm curious. I've been laughing as I read some of the post. Why would someone be "shocked" that a certain individual who is deemed as being famous pledged a certain frat or sorority? ALL our organizations have great foundations and should be held w/ the upmost respect! Does someone think a certain organization is not "good enough" to hold these members of prestige and influence? Not trying to cause an arguement, just curious.

And I am curious as to whether the genee in the lamp really exists....Seriously though, if some people's organizational choice is grounded in a belief system based on mistruths(to speak kindly) about other organizations then you are going to see people be "shocked" when things don't fit into what they believe as truth about other organizations......at the end of the day who cares? as long as u are grounded, idiocy and ignorant behaviour should never shake u.
