I would go slightly dressier than what the guide says. A lot of schools (like mine) try to make it no-frills and give more casual suggestions. But the PNMs who are "in the know" and come from Greek backgrounds will always be a little more dressed up that what the information says.
For instance, on the first day of our recruitment, all PNMs wear the same t-shirt and they can wear whatever they want on the bottom. The guide suggests jeans or shorts, but many girls choose a denim skirt. They look more put together than the jeans and shorts girls, and that gives them a slight advantage.
