sounds like you'll have to go to michael's or a craft store to cut out the letters yourself.
ETA - do letters come in more than one size? i could have sworn a little while ago someone posted about getting letters larger than the traditional size (4 inches? i don't know the measurement). maybe they come smaller as well.
