Atlanta. I even have relatives there! I know the area relatively well, there are a lot of things to do, and it is only 5 hours away from my parents.

NYC would be second choice. It has A LOT of fun things to do. But it is far away, very crowded, not enough nature for me, and too expensive.

Santa Barbara is not a realistic option in my case.
