I am currently paying for my education myself as well---and I had to take out additional loans than my scholarships and federal loans---and I use my additional loans to pay for my dues because, like you said, they come to me...my loan company doesn't really care what you are using the money for, I just have to prove that I am a full time student(by printing an official copy of my sched).
