I'm sure that there are other nursing majors in other sororities...see if you can have a friendly chat with any of them and see if being a nursing major affected their time committments to their respective sororities. This should serve to help you make an informed decision.
When you write: "I rarely saw her last year - she hardly came to our events, COBs, even meetings - because she was soooooo busy studying. Even other friends in other sororities claim that they are pretty inactive because of the amount of work that needs to be done", it's highly likely that that will be the situation for you as well, but only you can decide what works for you.
Let us know what you decide to do.

All of their time committment to DG/their respective sororities are very, very low. With that said, it's almost like why pay $x amount to be apart of something when you can really never be there? I love it so much but that's what I'm thinking, especially since nursing school is expensive and any extra money would really help. I would probably get in trouble too for not having the correct number of service hours at the end of each semester, etc. I don't know. I might just be overreacting and stressing out too soon about it but who knows.
The senior in my chapter is very hard to get ahold of, lol. But hopefully she'll offer me some insight soon! I will let everyone know
