PandaPi:
Alumna Initiation is an honor for the sororities who have it (it's not allowed in all sororities). It is reserved for certain women who did not have the opportunity to join in college but have shown that they would be a good addition to the sorority and that the exception should be made to allow them to join as alumnae.
Simply put, it is the exception, not the rule. It is also not the solution for girls who didn't get bids in college. It should not be offered or suggested as the alternative to participating in collegiate recruitment.
