People misuse the "monolithic group" phrase everyday. It's like someone used "monolithic" in a sentence one day and caused a EUREKA in people's minds that can't be overcome.
Saying there is a such thing as an "XYZ culture" isn't about being a monolithic group.

), you still acknowledge that you are Filipino and that there is a "Filipino and/or Filipino-American culture." This doesn't require that Filipinos think, say, and do the exact same things to recreate the culture.
