lol about being in Blairsville, PA. Not only is this a tech school, but it's a tech school in the middle of pretty much nowhere.
My advice? Concentrate on getting your degree/certification/whatever and get the heck out to somewhere where you can have a better future.
This is the greater Western-PA area. The advice to join a union is actually a good one. Not sure if it fulfills your social needs, but unions do have some social/camaraderie functions. And if you want to get work, it's a necessity. PA is still a union heavy area.
