I think it matters. I'd like to have an idea of how much money I'd have to fork over to be part of an organization *before* I join instead of getting a nasty surprise on bid day. Besides, if GLOs were more up-front about the costs of joining, maybe they wouldn't be stereotyped as a rich kid thing.
This guy's "hidden agenda" is what I was meant by nastiness.
