Because of price of oil, there are more wildcatting outfits in Kansas than ever before. They are doing it because of the price of oil. Also the many wells in Kansas which were pumping several years back is now 1 in 3 instead of 1 in 10.
There is oil under the ground, but the problem is a new refinery has not been built in how many years? They are old and have problems and nothing new in the cards of the future.
15 years to get the paper work done through the EPA and not in my back yard to boot.
Also, India and China will if not already blow by the USA for consumption which razes the price. Why are they growing? Simple more and more factories are being built from out sourceing and need energy.
The gas goes up and people lose jobs.
