My faves
Favorite Cosby Kid: without a doubt, it had to be Theo! Theo was a straight fool. He kept me in tears. And the fool must have had a tape worm the way he and Cockroach used to eat (remember how much he loved the "Bacon Burger Dog"?). Plus I loved how he would always get caught up in his lies about something or another (like when they put him on trial for lying about the track team incident).
Favorite Non-Cosby Kid: This is a tight category, but Imma have to go with Kenny, bka BUD. He was straight jokes. And he didn't say "My Brother says", it was "My BRUHVA says". I liked him best when he was young and cute (I liked Rudi best when she was young and cute TOO...you know I gotta give a soror a shout out - SMILE). And of course I loved the oh so sexy LANCE. He's a hottie.
Favorite Episode: I want to say that my favorite episode is an earlier one, when Denise brings her boyfriend, played by Kristoff St. John (Neil from Young and the Restless, but he had a big ol' jheri curl of some sort) home for dinner. He had on the mismatched socks, and was going off on Cliff and Claire about their jobs and incomes and such. And he said, "Oh, I don't believe in grades", and Theo was like, ALRIGHT!! That would have to be the alltime jokiest to me.
Another episode my sisters and I LOVE is when Rudi's friend sleeps over - she's played by this little white girl who also played the daughter in 'Beaches'. In the episode, the little girl wakes Cliff up in the middle of the night saying she hates Rudi and wants him to take her home right now. But by the time Cliff wakes up and goes to get her, she's back in the bed sleeping and says, "I love Rudi - she's my best friend." That just cracks me and my sisters up every time for some reason.
OOOWEEE, I loved "The Lipsticks" - when Vanessa and her girls formed the group singing "The Locomotion". BOY OH BOY were their voices TERRIBLE!!! And those outfits...phew!
Least favorite episode: The later episodes were wack. I wasn't too keen on "Winnie and Nelson", those non-acting Huxtable grandkids. And altho I liked the first "anniversary song" episode, the ones to follow just didn't live up to the first "Nighttime is the Right time" song. The only good thing about the finale was the fact that Cliff wore A TUSKEGEE SWEATSHIRT (don't hate).
I also tripped off of how at first, they had 4 kids and then this 5th kid pops up. I'm still trying to figure out how old Cliff and Claire are, and how they managed law school, med school + residency, and 5 kids all at practically the same time. But then again, on Happy Days and Family Matters, they started out with more kids and ended up with less (remember Richie's big brother who played basketball, and Eddie & Laura's little sister with all the ponytails?). So that's television I guess.
