The reason she put it up on the bookcase was because she was saying it was the night she was going to stand up to Wayne to let him know that him
and his gifts were not welcome. (Before they got inside, the woman taking care of Dylan said that Wayne stopped by and gave Dylan a bike and a doll that she wouldn't let out of her sight)
