I agree with all the responses that grades are important because academic performance speaks volumes when you get out in the workforce. This guy I know acts very distant and the only time he's ever speaking to me is when those morons in his frat that he hangs with are not around. To know that he had to pour a couple grand into 8 classes to graduate by the end of the quarter could have been avoided had he had his priorities straight. People who choose to socialize more than going to class pay the price in the end when they're dismissed from school or having to take out additional loans to cover the cost of repeating classes. This guy I know could have been an honor student, but he choose to hang with drunken idiots than to really apply himself to school. Plus not to mention lowering his standards for party girls who could be the next generation for Girls Gone Wild.

The sad thing is that when I saw this guy's photo album on MySpace he was posing in pictures drinking out of pizza parlor pitchers and standing with a group of his frat bros over a pile of beer bottles, cans, and other liquor containers as if it's still cool to act immature when you're almost 30 flipping years old.
