Yes. We aren't born with it but society gives it to us. If it has real consequences, it is real. Similar to that chair you are sitting in that you were TOLD is a chair. It would take a lot for you to convince everyone that it's really a horse. But as time goes on and more people change the definition of chair to horse, and stop profiting from the chair industry, we might be able to eradicate chairs.
