I just wanted to inject that he really is a good kid, and just a normal guy.
Although many of the performers this season are really "seasoned pros" who've been trying to break into the business for years, for some, this is the first foray into "show biz", and that they are getting the first taste of stardom and all it entails.
He made the choice to audition and he made the show. Now, the problem is that it opens you up to appraisal and comments from all over the place, both good and bad, including all the creeper fans (which there are plenty). The bummer for him is there is no going back to what has been a pretty awesome life - college student hanging around College Station with buddies, playing the guitar once in a while.
It was funny earlier in the season when Simon made a comment about how his singing sounded like a college kid in his dorm room, late at night, singing to a girl. Wellll, that's what he was doing a few months ago
Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to say, "Oh, Poor Jason" because he
is having fun and enjoying it while it lasts, but at the same time, his life is changed forever, and maybe not for the better.
