But if you buy them from the Krispy Kreme store, they likely will be hot. I mean really, the only real disclaimer is don't buy
any food from a convenience store or gas station, because it's pretty much going to taste like it came from a convenience store no matter what it is.
And I'll even bend the "only buy them from the store" rule a little. KKs have long been used for fundraisers for school groups, and the ones I've bought that way have always been just fine.
But even from a convenience store, KKs are better than DDs.
