Just as folks from PWI's may have misperceptions about life at an HBCU, folks have misperceptions about Regent.

The challenges faced at Regent have NOTHING do with the atmosphere of the school nor it's stated motto (Christian Leadership to Change the World). It's been the fact that the undergraduate programs are relatively new, and student life for undergrads is still in its infancy. Many of our undergrads are also non-traditional students, so those pose their own set of challenges. I've had nothing but wonderful, overwhelming support from the Dean of Students. Other than that, don't expect me to discuss groups in a public forum.

Salisbury University (no longer referred to as Salisbury State) acheived Petitioning Group status on April 5! And their sponsor is one of the original charter Brothers who still lives in the area.

GO EXTENSION!!!
OK, I have misperceptions, but there are *still* service projects that I've seen chapters do that I just can't see at any school at a certain level of religious belief oriented in a specific direction. I think Alpha Delta Delta did an AIDS prevention service project that included a "guess the number of condoms in the jar and win them all"... I can't see Mu Alpha at Georgetown being allowed to do that, and I can't see Regent U...

Still more likely to charter a Boy Scout troop than half of Region X.

So we get to actually write some of the rules (figuratively) by getting in the ground floor, sounds good to me.

Salisbury (no state) University. I know that. Bang head. Now if Frostburg could just get the Maryland legislature to do the same thing.
