At my daughter's school to go through rush you had to have a 2.5. To be in nearly every soroity you had to have a 2.75. To be in two soroties you had to have a 3.0. That being said, one struggling house took several without a 2.75 and I would guess that that several soroities take grade risk with a 2.70. This was not a big secert. But they each take 1 grade risk. There were plenty of girls who did not make grades (since it is deffered rush and based on 1st semster grades and all sororites have access to the grades) several girls went through with 2.5 and they were cut after the first day of parties. As a mom speaking, focus on your grades == your first semster is hard enough without a ton more of distractions. Because believe me you will have plenty to do.
