I don't agree. I have met many men and women in their forties who are single. Some are single because they have focused on other things like education and career and others because they haven't met the right person. Not everyone meets the right person in his or her twenties or thirties. Some people just don't want to get married. I don't think that they are damaged goods.
The strange thing that I have noticed is that many women who are single or unattached and turning thirty will get involved with any man who is interested in order to settle down and get married. They don't seem particularly happy once the wedding is over.
