One of the things I like about the NYC women is they do so much charity work. It's part of the social scene that Jill mentions. Almost all of the parties they attend are benefits and fund raisers. I think the only parties we saw the OC women attend were at the Playboy Mansion or by someone's pool. I don't ever remember the OC women mentioning raising money for Charity.
I agree with HBADPi's take on education. I think the only OC kid who though it was important was Vicky's daughter. Vicky's son went to Colorado to study beer and women. Jeanna's boys are interested only in baseball (Cara started at Berkley in January because she wasn't accepted to USC and UCLA). Lauri's kids barely finished high school (I'm not sure about Josh); her step-kids didn't go to college either. Tammy's youngest daughter wanted to go to school, but didn't have a brain in her head; the oldest wanted to get tatoos and train pitbulls. Tamara's son is, well, duhhhhh!
I think the NYC women dress much classier (exception is Ramona), and yes Ramona and Alex need to do something with their hair. The OC women run around in jeans and skimpy tops with their Double Dees hanging out. I'm sure the NYC women have had some work done, it's just more discrete and natural, where the viewer doesn't say, "oh my God, her face doesn't move when she smiles"
Just my opinion.
