I'm going to tell a story that helps explain why I love my chapter. A couple weeks into new member period, the new members from each sorority split up into small groups and eat dinner at other sorority houses on campus. Sort of a diplomacy thing
Well, my group and I had a less than pleasant experience at an unnamed sorority. The girls barely acknowledged out presence, and when we finally started talking to us they were kind of rude. Afterwards we were feeling pretty bummed out. Well, I had forgotten one of my books at the Kappa house so we headed back over there just in time to see the new members from other sororities leave our house. They said the NICEST things about our house! They were all "Wow, those girls were so friendly!" "What a great house!" "They were so genuine!" We all knew how right those girls were. One came up to us and said. "You guys are new Kappas? You're really lucky to be in such an awesome house!" And they were right. I was so happy to be a kappa right then, and I think that expresses how I feel about my chapter every day.
