Frankly, I think it's fair for both to be at issue.
As DSTChaos says, the article is nothing new. Reasonable, and I think persuasive, arguments can be made to refute its claims.
Unfortunately, the response instead resorted to infantile
ad homimen attacks (such as "you are are a piece of crap" who apparently "got dished when trying to join a GLO") that do nothing except reinforce the negative stereotypes represented in the article in the first place.
