I'd say, go for it! You'll never know until you try, at least go through recruitment for the experience. Also, work on getting recommendations, while your school may not require them, it won't hurt if you have a recommendation to each house to help you. Talk to your friends, relatives and see if they are a member of any of the sororities at your school that could write you a recommendation.
